Artist Statement
My passion is art. I just look at a lot of things, and that’s how I learn about art, by looking at it. I believe that the function of abstraction is to get rid of a lot of reality, to start with as much richness as you want, subtract, then you arrive at the residue of essences that you’re interested in. I don’t really know how I paint a picture, I just know I like the experience of painting a picture.

About 618 ARTlington, “That means artists don’t have to be in their studios at the same time to learn from each other, but helps when they are, you start talking about your work and you start bouncing ideas off each other, you investigate your medium in community.”
Winnipeg Free Press, Creative Connection, November 3rd, 2019, Brenda Suderman
